What a good one does

Updated

Roofing jobs are big and infrequent, so each honest review carries weight. Ask once the crew has cleaned up and the homeowner has seen the finished roof, describe the job in plain words, and link to your Google review form. Ask every customer, including insurance jobs and repairs, and never tie a review to a discount, a gift or the final invoice.

Mistakes to avoid. We see these often.

  • Linking the review to the final payment or a discount.
  • Asking only after replacements and skipping repair or insurance customers.
  • Asking the homeowner to review on the day the crew is still on site.

Questions people ask.Short answers.

When should a roofer ask for a review?

After cleanup and the final walk-through, once the homeowner has seen the finished roof. A follow-up after the first heavy rain also works.

Can I offer a discount for a review?

No. Google doesn't allow incentives for reviews, and US rules ban rewards tied to a positive review.

Should insurance customers be asked too?

Yes. Ask every customer the same way, whoever paid.
