Review requests for auto repair shops.Written for auto repair shops.

What a good one does

Updated

An auto repair shop's review request should go out after the customer has driven the car for a day or two, when they know the repair worked. Ask every customer the same way, name the job plainly, and link to your Google review form. Honest reviews that describe the work and the estimate process are what drivers look for when they ask who's trustworthy.

  • Skipping customers who declined the estimate.

Questions people ask.Short answers.

When should an auto shop ask for a review?

A day or two after the repair, once the customer has driven the car and knows it worked.

Should I ask customers who declined the repair?

Yes. Ask everyone the same way. A review about an honest estimate is valuable on its own.

Can I offer a discount for a review?

No. Google doesn't allow incentives for reviews, and US rules ban rewards tied to a positive review.
