What a good one does

Updated

A plumber's review request should go out once the problem is truly fixed: the drain runs, the leak is dry, the water is hot. Send it to every customer, name the job so the review describes real work, and link to your Google review form. Keep rewards out of it and ask the same way whether the visit went smoothly or not.

Mistakes to avoid. We see these often.

  • Asking for a review while the customer is still mopping up.
  • Only sending requests after easy jobs and skipping the difficult ones.
  • Writing review replies that never mention the job or the area.

Questions people ask.Short answers.

When should a plumber ask for a review?

Once the fix is proven: the drain runs, the leak stays dry or the hot water is back. For big jobs, a day later is fine.

Should I ask landlords for reviews?

Yes, if they hired you. Ask every customer the same way, including property managers.

What if the job went badly?

Fix it first and still ask. Asking only customers you think are happy is review gating, which Google doesn't allow.
