Missed-call texts for landscapers.Written for landscaping and lawn care companies.
What a good one does
Updated
A landscaping missed-call text should sort one-off jobs from recurring service, because a weekly mowing client and a patio project need different conversations. Reply within a minute, ask what they need and the property address, and offer a visit or a quote. Keep pricing for the call. In busy spring weeks, say honestly how far ahead you're booking, and include a STOP line.

- FCC: Stop unwanted robocalls and texts (consent for texts)
- 47 CFR 64.1200: the TCPA rules, including opt-out words and the 10-business-day limit
- FCC rule effective November 25, 2026 on how customers revoke consent

Mistakes to avoid. We see these often.
- Quoting a recurring price without seeing the property or a photo.
- Offering lawn chemical treatments without the applicator licence your state requires.
- Leaving spring callers without a reply until the weekend.
Questions people ask.Short answers.
Should I quote mowing prices by text?
Only after you've seen the property or a photo. A range in the follow-up call is better than a number that changes on the first visit.
Who should call back about lawn treatments?
A licensed applicator where your state requires one. Many states license pesticide application separately from mowing.
What if we're fully booked?
Say how far ahead you're booking and offer to hold the next opening. An honest wait beats silence.
