AI marketing for landscapers.Be the crew AI names every spring.
How landscaping and lawn care companies get named by ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini and Google AI Overviews, and what to fix first.
The short answer
Updated
To get a landscaping or lawn care company recommended by AI assistants, answer the monthly cost questions people ask, say which services you do in-house, and show your pesticide applicator licence if you treat lawns, because states license that separately from mowing. Keep seasonal hours and service areas current, post real before-and-afters, and earn reviews that name the neighbourhood.

Guides. For landscaping and lawn care companies.
Questions people ask.Short answers.
Do lawn care companies need a licence?
Mowing usually doesn't need a trade licence. Applying pesticides for hire does need one in many states; Maryland, for example, requires a pesticide business licence.
Is lawn treatment safe for pets?
The EPA advises keeping children, toys and pets away from treated areas until the pesticide has dried, and asking the service about precautions.
Is landscape certification required?
No. NALP's Landscape Industry Certified credential is voluntary, but it gives customers something to check.
