Missed-call texts for electricians.Written for electrical contractors.
What a good one does
Updated
An electrician's missed-call text has to separate a dangerous problem from a routine job in one message. Reply within a minute, tell anyone who smells burning or sees smoke to call 911 first, give an urgent reply word for everything else that can't wait, and ask routine callers what they need. Send one message with a STOP line, then wait for their reply.

Questions people ask.Short answers.
What should an electrician's text say about a burning smell?
Tell them to call 911 if there's smoke or fire, then how to reach your on-call electrician. ESFI lists burning smells and warm outlets as signs to call a qualified electrician.
Can I ask for a photo of the panel?
Yes, a photo of the panel label helps you plan the visit. Never ask a customer to open the panel cover.
Should the reply mention a free estimate?
Keep offers out of the first reply. A promotion makes it a marketing text, which needs signed written consent under FCC rules.
