Missed-call texts for pest control companies.Written for pest control companies.

What a good one does

Updated

A pest control missed-call text should find out what the pest is and how bad it is, because a single mouse and a bed bug problem need different visits. Reply within a minute, ask which pest and for a photo if they can, and give a call-back time. Explain prep and pet safety on the call, not in the text. One message with a STOP line.

Mistakes to avoid. We see these often.

  • Diagnosing the pest by text before anyone has inspected.
  • Calling a treatment 'completely safe' instead of explaining the precautions customers are told to ask about.
  • Adding a first-treatment discount to the reply, which makes it a marketing text.

Questions people ask.Short answers.

Should the text cover pet safety?

Briefly invite the question, then explain on the call. The EPA tells customers to ask a service about risks and precautions, so be ready with a clear answer.

Is it fine to ask for a photo?

Yes. A photo of droppings, damage or the insect helps you send the right technician and plan the visit.

Can I text a discount for the first treatment?

Not in the missed-call reply. An offer makes it a marketing text, which needs signed written consent under FCC rules.
