The short answer

Updated

A physical therapy clinic should choose Physical therapy clinic as its primary category on Google Business Profile, and give public-facing therapists their own profiles with Physical therapist as their category. Add secondaries like Occupational therapist only if those clinicians work there. Avoid 'Rehabilitation center', which reads as addiction treatment, keep insurance and hours current, and never identify patients.

Your categories.Primary first.

Questions people ask.Short answers.

Physical therapy clinic or Physical therapist?

Use Physical therapy clinic for the clinic's profile and Physical therapist for each public-facing therapist's own profile.

Should we use Rehabilitation center?

We'd avoid it. In Google's list it tends to read as addiction treatment rather than physical rehabilitation.

Can we post patient success stories?

Only with written HIPAA authorization. HHS has fined a physical therapy clinic for posting testimonials without it.
