Google Verified.In plain English.

Definition

Updated

Google Verified is the single badge Google now shows on Local Services Ads for businesses that have passed its screening and verification.

Google merged its earlier badges into one for all advertisers. Older guides call it Google Guarantee and describe a money-back guarantee, which Google has discontinued: reimbursement requests only covered services booked before December 7, 2025.

Profiles show the badge together with the specific verification checks the business has completed, and Google says the move to one badge doesn't affect ad ranking.

Google says the badge isn't currently available for auto, beauty and dining categories.

When accounts move into Google Ads' new pay-per-lead campaigns, the verified status and badge transfer automatically, and insurance and license reverification are no longer required.

Example: a pest control company's ad shows the Google Verified badge, and its profile lists the checks it passed, such as a license check.
