Cost per booked job is marketing spend divided by the number of jobs it produced. It shows what a channel really costs, unlike cost per click or cost per lead.
Track it per channel: ads, lead platforms, your Google profile and referrals.
It isn't a Google Ads metric. Google's 'Cost / conv.' divides your total cost by the number of conversions, so it equals cost per booked job only if the conversion you count is a booked job.
To get there, import the jobs you win. Google's offline conversion imports let you measure what happens after an ad leads to a click or a call, and from June 15, 2026 those imports move to Google's Data Manager API. Call conversions only count calls that last at least the minimum length you set.
It needs call tracking or a booking source on every job to be accurate. In Google's new pay-per-lead campaigns, 'Cost / conv.' means your average cost per lead, not per job.
Example: $900 of ad spend that books 6 jobs is a cost per booked job of $150.
