Better Business Bureau. What AI reads there.
A directory that AI assistants may draw on. What is documented, who it matters for, and how to fix your listing. Cost: Free profile. Accreditation is paid, priced by your local BBB by number of employees.
The short answer
Updated
The Better Business Bureau publishes free business profiles with complaints, reviews and a letter grade, and charges for optional accreditation. BBB says it welcomes AI crawlers on its public profile pages, and its own guidance names ChatGPT, Gemini and Copilot. We found no published data deal between BBB and an AI maker, so the value is a complete, consistent profile those crawlers can read.
Does AI use it?Only what's documented.
Each row links to the maker's or the platform's own words. Where nothing is published, we say so.

How we handle it.What our team does.
A specialist matches your BBB profile's name, phone, hours and service area to your Google profile. From Essentials up we keep it matched and alert you when a complaint arrives, so you can answer inside BBB's window. We don't buy accreditation for you and we never write reviews.
Questions people ask.Short answers.
Is a BBB profile free?
Yes. Claiming or requesting a BBB business profile is free. Accreditation is a paid membership set by your local BBB.
How long do I have to answer a BBB complaint?
BBB asks the business to respond within 10 to 15 days and sends a second request if it doesn't hear back. Not responding can lower your rating.
Do customer reviews change my BBB letter grade?
No. BBB says customer reviews are not used to calculate the letter grade. Complaints and how you handle them are.
How long do complaints stay on my profile?
BBB shows complaints on business profiles for three years from the date they were filed.
