Your description.Checked against Google's rules.

Paste your profile description. Each check says whether it's Google's written rule or our tip.

The short answer

Updated

The description checker tests a Google Business Profile description against Google's written rules before you paste it in: no more than 750 characters, no links or HTML, no focus on promotions, prices or sales, and no gimmicky characters. It also flags things we'd change, clearly marked as our tips, and runs entirely in your browser.

Questions people ask.Short answers.

How long can a Google Business Profile description be?

Google says not to exceed 750 characters in the description field.

Can I mention a sale or prices?

Google asks you to focus on details about your business rather than promotions, prices or sales, and gives examples like 'Everything on sale, -50%' as content not to use.

Can I put my phone number in the description?

Google doesn't name phone numbers for descriptions. Your number already has its own field, so we flag it as a tip, not a rule.
