Practitioner profile.In plain English.

Definition

Updated

A practitioner profile is a Google Business Profile for an individual professional, such as a dentist or chiropractor, separate from the profile of the practice they work in.

Google says only public-facing practitioners should have one, named with the practitioner's name alone, and that support staff shouldn't.

A practitioner should have their own profile only if they work in a public-facing role and can be contacted directly at the verified location during its stated hours.

Where several practitioners work at one location, the practice gets its own profile, and each practitioner's profile carries only their name, not the name of the practice.

A practitioner shouldn't have several profiles for different specialties. A solo practitioner at a branded practice shares one profile named 'Brand: Practitioner name'.

Example: a practice with three dentists has one profile in the practice's name and one for each dentist in that dentist's name alone. The front-desk team has none.
